It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors and the Secretariat of the Mauritius International Arbitration Centre (MIAC) has learned of the passing of Professor Emmanuel Gaillard.
Like many around the world, MIAC has greatly benefited from Professor Gaillard’s tremendous contribution to the field of international arbitration. In his capacity as Chair of MIAC’s Advisory Board, Professor Gaillard provided invaluable guidance in support of the institution.
We extend our sincerest condolences to Professor Gaillard’s family, his colleagues at Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya Disputes, and his friends.
